Join Us for a Virtual Lenten Prayer Service

This year's Lenten Prayer Service went virtual.

Ursuline students and employees submitted short videos with prayer intentions for our school community and the world right now. They also shared ways they have been called to sacrifice, fast, and pray during this Lenten season. Watch video.

The video reminds us that we are all in this together and supporting one another. God shares with us in His Word: "Come to meall you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28).

We are called to continue this season of Lent:

  • Reflect upon what the Lord is asking us to sacrifice.
  • How He is calling us to grow closer to Him?
  • What distractions is He asking us to remove or let go of in order to make more room for Him in our hearts?
  • We await for the joy of His resurrection at Easter and the joyful time when we will all gather together again.

Pope Francis has invited Christians across the world to join with him in prayer every day at noon to pray the “Our Father.” He reminds us: “As trustful children we turn to the Father. We do it every day, several times a day; but right now we wish to beg mercy for mankind, so sorely tried by the coronavirus pandemic. And we do this together, Christians of every Church and Community, of every tradition, of every age, language and nation.”
